Can't get hard disk space right!!

This morning I was going to delete one of my backups on my t60p cause I felt I didnt need it anymore. So I deleted it, and waited for three hours. Nothing. Then I noticed that my hard disk space dropped 9gb from 56 to 47!!! How is this possible? Can I fix this?

Update: Make that 10. After restarting it went down another one.

when deleting the rescue and recovery backup, do it from the latest to the oldest...
