I have continuous problems with my t61p and this is the latest. Before I start an explanation I note here I also have IBM T42 and no problem there with the installation CD.
OK on the T61P I load the driver CD for Konica Minolta 2500W printer and when I click to install the drivers nothing happens. Im running Vista. Im not sure if the problem is with the thinkpad software or Windows? The driver CD and printer are new and work fine as I just said on my T42.
Other problems Ive had that seem to be peculiar to this machine are not being able to copy/paste into a word processor, unable to connect to some wireless internet connections etc. but I would be grateful if someone could help with just the above problem for now.

I'm assuming your T42 is not running Vista. Have you tried the latest Vista drivers? You can download them at http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/download/Search

The T42 runs XP pro.
Ive been reading about Vista and I wonder does the fact I installed it as 64 bit Vista as opposed to 32 bit (which apparently uses more ram - the 64 bit that is) could this be causing all my problems. When you first setup the T61P software you get the choice of either 64 bit or 32 bit.
