Earphone jack is dead

Good afternoon Lenovo communyti Few days ago i treated myself and got Lenovo IBM T61 14.1 widescreen  I`m running win7 ultimate and i have one small problem my earphone jack seems to be dead ... i updated drivers where i could update but still ... dead,  any ideas what it could be ?  its T61, 14.1 widescreen, 2.4Ghz intel core 2 duo, 4GB RAM, T8300 , 7661 CTO.

Hello,

Do you get any sound from the internal speakers at all?  What about if you boot the T61 off of a Linux Live CD?

Hey, yes i have sound from internal speakers i just dont have any sound if im plugin in earphones or lead to my stereo system but i havent got Linux Live CD but i will download and i will try then to check. Thanks for your help and when i`ll try ill be back with answers

Problem just been solved ... end of the day ... with earphone jack is everything OK , with cable - OK, but with my eyes - NO :/ so basically i have pluged my 3.5mm to 3.5mm to wrong connector on my stereo ... **** happens ... thanks for advice Goretsky .
