I've had this laptop for about a week, and it's been working great so far. I have a fingerprint scanner, but I don't know how to activate it. When I go to the ThinkVantage folder in my All Programs, there is nothing relevant there. Also, when I hit the ThinkVantage button and scroll to ThinkVantage Technologies and Client Security Solution, the fingerprint reader appears to be disabled. I can configure the other settings (Password Manager, etc.), but I can't select the Fingerprint tab.
Can anyone help sort this out? Any assistance is appreciated!
Solved! Go to Solution.

You have to download and install the fingerprint software to use the fingerprint reader. The Client Security Solution software is not required to use the fingerprint reader. I'm sure the tab will be enabled as soon as the fingerprint software is installed. You can also use system update to download/install the fingerprint software and other software for your computer.
You can also enable/disable the fingerprint reader in BIOS. When you turn on the computer and see the Thinkpad logo you can press F1 to enter the BIOS and check if the fingerprint reader is disabled or not.

How do you turn off the fingerprint reader on the T60p?
