Hi lenovo community,
I have T61 (type7663, Model 12U) just got from Ebay and love it. The only problem is that there's a horizontal line on the display (14.1") that splits all the way of the screen in half. I fixed all other problems so I really want to get rid of this line and make a powerful machine for myself.
If anyone knows the good website that explains how to change a display or has a similar experience that would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

what GPU do you have?
nVidia quadro 140 maybe?
EDIT:
P.S. if so, please check here: http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/T61-and-prior-T-series-

this is most likely a problem with the LCD or cable connection.

this is the hardware manual it will show you how to change the LCD.

Thanks for the quick responses! It's 7663-12U. I tried to attach a snapshot and then realized there's no line on the picture. Does this mean that this is a physical LCD problem and not a problem on the graphic card?
Very much appreciated for your suggestions.

yes it is most likely the LCD that is having the problem.

I have this horizontal line on my T61 as well, it disappears if I move the screen a bit. Though I have had my screen already replaced once so it could be just an issue with the replacement procedure.
I've got an engineer coming on site soon to deal with my Laptop and hopefully resolve this line issue.

Did you also have a same line before you replaced the screen? I've never done the replacement and one screen costs $100. I wonder if it's worth trying.

Hey, I have the lenovo x201 Tablet, it has the same problem, i use it for school, and anyways, ive had the problem on severl LCD screens, theres always a line, just left of the center. i had the screen replaced 4 times, and it just poped up again yesterday on me. its really starting to piss me off. i want lenovo to fix this problem. clearly theres a problem with thier LCD's but they dont give a crap, cause if it breaks then ppl buy new ones, and they earn more money!
