Looking for advice on how to set up dual VGA monitors with these ThinkPad models

Hello,

I am looking for advice on how to set up dual VGA monitors with these ThinkPad models and docking stations.

ThinkPad T60 (1951-4TU) with 42w4624 dock
ThinkPad T60 (1953-DAU) with 41w6562 dock

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Looking for advice on how to set up dual VGA monitors with these ThinkPad models

thanks for the reply.

I was wondering, could I use the one VGA port on the dock and then use the DVI port that is also on the dock using a DVI to VGA adapter?  Would I be able to get dual screen capabilities this way?

Re: Looking for advice on how to set up dual VGA monitors with these ThinkPad models

the dvi port on the dock is a dvi-d port from memory, so normal converter plug won't work.

There are special DVI-D to VGA convert out there, but they cost same as a new 19 inch LCD.

Alternatively consider a usb2vga converter.

The VGA on the T60 will unfortunately be disabled when docked so a form of converter / splitter will be required to achieve what the OP is trying to do.
