New hard drive wont boot

I have a T61 with XP on it. The factory hard drive was starting to show its age, so I got a 500GB WD Black drive for it. I used Acronis True Image to clone the old hard drive to the new one. I used my desk top to do the cloning. When I plug the new hard drive in, the cursor just flashes and it does not boot.

I thought maybe the clone was bad, so I put the new hard drive back on my desk top, and was able to boot it all the way to the windows start up screen. If I plug the old drive back in the laptop, it boots fine, just refuses to boot off the new drive.

Got it figured out.

Put the new hard drive into the computer, put the old hard drive in a USB enclosure, and made a Acronis boot CD, and did the clone from the laptop. Works like a champ, and it flys now.
