Problem with docking station.

Hi All, I bought a lot of docking station to our T61 and T60 Lenovo.

now, we noticed that on few of all when we unplug the power supplay the system stops, and we can not do anything.

After that we can only turn off the notebook (4s put the I/O).

The problem occurs on the station type 2504 07/07, 07/06, 07/01

But on the station with 2504 07/04 is ok. I can unplag the power suplay and nothing happend.

Do you know what it is?

I would undock BEFORE removing the power supply. The docking station needs external power to work properly. It's not going to run just off the battery of the notebook.

This sounds like normal operation to me.

I haven't tried to unplug the dock power while running. But in the past versions (like A31 types) it would just revert to laptop mode and the pc would continue to run. Yes it didn't power anything in the dock, but the system kept going. I'd expect that type of behavior in the current versions too. Basicly you have an internal UPS for the system. Granted I run an external UPS for the whole docked setup, just in case.

Unfortunately I have not got UPS (why should I have – I have the battery ;-))
In my company the power is switched from time to time.
So, I need to find any other solution. The support of Lenovo is expensive. I think I ask some partners to help.

There is new BIOS update that fix this problem. I has same issue at my job but this fixed problem.
