Ram speed

Why an HP tablet from the same time I purchase this T61p has better ram performance?

 

They both say ddr2

 

Running the windows evaluation experience my ram say 5.1 which is the lower rate.  And in the HP tablet 5.9 so I guess there's some significant difference.

 

How could ram performance be improved?
