Reinstalling Windows XP

Hi guys...

Everybody in our company has a T61. We wanted to make our OWN installation of the laptop... meaning reinstalling from scratch using a Microsoft Windows CD... then roll it back a bit using sysprep, and clone them out to mass produce an identical machine.

What I'd like to know is if we can use the Windows XP Corporate Edition CD to install and expect the license key under the laptop to work with it? I guess my concern there is the licensing issue.

Let me ask one more thing please

I can get the laptop running with everything shine and bright... using the drivers downloaded from the support site... but I can't seem to find the Sonic DVD burning software on the Lenovo support site... Can someone point me to a link? Thanks!

The short answer is yes.  The long answer is that you will need to understanding Microsoft's licencing conditions and how the play out in the XP space, which is not a topic for this forum.

Look for Multimedia Center for XP on the Lenovo web site.  However, it will only install on the specific models listed on the web page.

Hope u can get me 1 more answer please....

All my laptops are ThinkPad T61 8892-02U

I'm reinstalling Windows XP using a Microsoft CD.... it doesn't seem to have the controller driver....

I've got a USB floppy here that can serve the driver during installation... but not sure where to go to get that driver... can you point me to a link? Thanks!
