SpeedFan cannot find fan on T43

I spoke to the author of SpeedFan and the problem was that it seems it is special designed chips in the laptop.
Because of that he cannot find where to find that information.

The program finds the temprature for System and CPU, but not for fan.

Can somebody enlighten us!? :smileyhappy:

Thanx!

Re: SpeedFan cannot find fan on T43

Welcome to the forum!

Google for "T43 fan control" and you'll find the utility by that (or very similar) name that controls your fan speed depending on the temperature, that you can program yourself to engage/disengage fan at certain temparatures.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,

George

Re: SpeedFan cannot find fan on T43

You're very welcome, coop75.

Now enjoy your fine ThinkPad like I do all of mine, which include both T43 and T43p (both with 15" IPS LCDs)...

Cheers,

George

Re: SpeedFan cannot find fan on T43

This thing freakin rocks!  Now, when I'm in a public library, I can turn the fan off so I don't disturb others.  Thanks.

Re: SpeedFan cannot find fan on T43

Hi

I dont own a T43 but a G470 and SpeedFan doesnt see it , this is weird because G570 support it , both are sharing the same bios image...

how comes the fan display / control cant be accessed by standard API ? Please explain...
