T 61 sleeping & wont wake up sometimes?

Having a minor problem when you close the moniter and the unit goes to sleep. Sometimes when you lift the moniter back up it doesn't wake up. The only way that I can get it to work is by shutting it down and restarting it. This only happens about after 30 times or so. Erratic.??  I did switch from vista to xp and havent had any other issues. Thank You

Press Fn + F7 or Ctrl + Alt + F1 to get the screen up and running again...

Tryed what was suggested and still didn't work. I did notice that when I lifted the moniter that the sleep indicator light went off but the screen stayed dark. It doesnt do this all the time, only when customer at counter and need it. The only way I could get it to work was shut down and restart and then works great for a while again. Might have to contact service? Thanks

Maybe have to get the mods or mark to help you before you send it off, because they may or may not fix the problem... it sounds like software problem, which the service don't help you with, as they take out your harddrive and put in their own service harddrive.

Many T61s have this problem.

Don't Lenovo want to fix this problem?
