T22 Fuzzy resolution

To the all-knowing, all wise moderators or anybody else.   I hope this is an easy one for you.  I was forced to reformat and reload Win 2000 on my T22 - 2647-4EU.  I downloaded and installed the S3 Savage IX8 driver from Levovo.  It doesn't work very well as the text on the desktop is kinda fuzzy and hard to read.  I wonder if this is the wrong video driver because the machine did not have this problem before.  This is the only video driver I can find for the T22 series on the Lenovo site.  I believe I installed it correctly as I followed their instructions carefully.  Is this a common problem?  Hope you can help me.  (Edited by me - added machine type.)
