T43 stuck in docking station

Question

My T43 is stuck in the docking station (Type 2877). 

The button to release it does not pop up properly, and the locking lugs won't let go. The battery is dead and there does not appear to be any power, even with the dock plugged in.  Is there a way to undock without power?

Emergency Eject:

When AC power is not supplied, the Eject button does not pop up automatically.  To make it pop up, do the following:

1. Press the Eject button.

2. Insert a small flat-head screwdriver into the emergency eject hole, which is to the left of the security keyhole.

3. Using the screwdriver, move the small silver plate in the hole to the left.
