T60 re-format issues issues

I no longer have the Windows XP Pro disc for my T60 laptop and I am trying to re-format HDD.  I try to put in MS 25 digit KEY from sticker but it says not valid but I know it is.   When I went to MS web site it is telling me to contact manufacturer.

Any hints or ideas why it does not work?

You need to contact Microsoft to transfer the OEM serial key to a regular serial key. Or just pay 50USD for the recovery media from Lenovo.
