Hello,
I have an IBM Thinkpad T61 (TYPE:6463-CTO, S/N xxxxxxx), and i want to replace the WXGA screen to an WSXGA+ LCD. Will it work with an Intel X3100 VGA?
Thanks

I asked a Lenovo service, and they said its possible, just it's not guaranteed, that it will work with my Intel X3100.

I've done it several times, I've also installed the board with intel graphics in systems with wsxga and wuxga, the intel board will work with ANY screen resolution.

Can you reccomend me a good LCD screen with WSXGA+ resolution? Is there any difference between these displays?

I've used both the LG and Samsung, some of the early samsung had issues, but the ones I've seen in late model T61p units are amazing quality. Be careful buying the screens from china though, it's possible they could be what are referred to as "factory 2nds", or less then perfect quality. The factories often sell screens with imperfections cheaply and they end up on websites like ebay. I sent you some info in a PM, but to sum it up, if you can get a good original Lenovo screen without any blemishes, it would be a safer purchase and you could probably save some money too. Many of these chinese sellers do accept returns if you're not happy with it, but the problem is it would cost me $25 to get that screen shipped to me, and it would take a few weeks, then it would cost me $50 to return it if I wasn't happy with it.
There are better options.
