T61 ThinkLight glare

Somehow the ThinkLight on my T23 let me work next to my sleeping spouse without it being an annoyance while the ThinkLight on my T61 is blinding.  I can fix this with a little piece of black electrician's tape; I put it just to the right of the light, to limit lighting to the keyboard.  If I can do this with tape, why couldn't Lenovo do it by designing the ThinkLight housing better?  This is an engineering suggestion that Lenovo rethink the display bezel and the ThinkLight for future models so the keyboard and the keyboard alone is lit.

Re: T61 ThinkLight glare

I like the T61 ThinkLight fine how it is now... a big improvement in both brightness and spread over earlier ThinkPads!

Cheers,

Re: T61 ThinkLight glare

At least the T6x light does not shine in your eyes like the T4x light did. I rarely used the light on my T42 because of that. I like the T6x light again.
