Re: T61P Graphic problems--random shut down, BSOD, Crash

More information. I have single memory dimm 2GB (hynix) I also try another dimm 1 GB OCZ. it also give me Bsod. So i think my memory dimm (hynix) works fine. Problem i think in something else...I formating disk c:\ and clean install system. it also no help. Then i instlall Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Thats not help too. In vista Pc doctor crased in BSOD, in XP it's not crash. And intersting thing i play Call of duty 4 total 10-15 hours. No BSOD no nothing. GTA: San Andreas also not give me BSOD. But all other games (Stalker, PES 2008, hitman 2, Faces of War) give me BSOD's freez, with looping sound). I try unistall sound driver, disable 2 processor's core in bios. All of this not help. Now i install 2 dimm's(OCZ and Hynix, 1+2) and it crashed too. In my situation no matter 1 or 2 dimm's installed.

Did you try updating your BIOS?

Since you have the Quadro 140 and not the 570M, you might have a completely different issue than the one in this thread.  I would talk to Lenovo about sending your laptop in for repairs, or at least get a support ticket open and follow their troubleshooting steps and see where it takes you.

Just a friendly reminder, this forum isn't an official venue for Lenovo support, you'll mostly get advice from other users (sometimes useful, sometime not) and occasionally a Lenovo employee will post something, but the forum shouldn't be considered a replacement for proper support and repair channels.

Re: T61P Graphic problems--random shut down, BSOD, Crash

Oh, yes I have installed the Laptopvideo2go drivers.  No, it didn't solve my problem.  It made some games crash less often though.  If you have the same issue I had, different drivers (even modded ones) aren't going to solve your problem.  The only thing that really helped me was getting a new motherboard, but later on that new motherboard started having occasional crashes too.  But it was a BIG improvement, the new motherboard worked MOST of the time, whereas the old motherboard would crash very regularly.

So getting the Motherboard replaced didn't fix the problem, it just lessened the frequency.  Hence, there is still no fix for this issue announced?  Lenovo?  Where are you?

Re: T61P Graphic problems--random shut down, BSOD, Crash

I would like to complement my information, in function of the previous comments. I have problems of display freezing with 1 module of memory or with 2 modules. Difference doesn't exist for me. The only difference, among freezing the display or no, it went to use the drive modified nvidia or what is supplied by Lenovo.
I understood that Lenovo already this working in this case at a long time - at least 4 months - and what leaves me very concerned it is the time that this being long for terms the solution of this case, be through a recall for hardware or of putting a correct driver in the site. Regards to all.
