T61P vs T43

I just upgraded to a a T61p from a T43 both using Windows XP and 2gig of Ram. I've noticed that the T61P is noticably slower on wireless and internet access. Sreeens just take longer to display and upload sites.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

No, I haven't noticed this on my T61p but I did remove Access Connections and don't use WEP or WPA (I use MAC access control - I know it's not as secure but it prevents neighbors pilfering my bandwidth).

I connected directly to the router and by passed the wireless router and it is much faster. Not sure why the wireless lan connect with WEP password so slow. I am running on a router/wireless B and plan to try G later this weekend. I was thinking about checking the firmwire or driver for the wireless on Lenovo but don't know a way to do this yet.

Does your T61 have "b" wireless at all?

It says it does, sort of. I just haven't been able to figure out where i go to check

According to this page, your T61 doesn't have "b" wireless, so that pretty much resolves the issue...
