I replaced my 4 years old 6 cell battery with another Lenovo battery, 9 cell one, about 1 year old, it charges and seems to be working fine, but when I launch Power Managet, battery info is still telling me I have my old 4 year old original battery.
How can I tell my T61p to read the info from the nw battery?
I can't find this option in Power manager or in Help.
Do I have to go ti BIOS to do that?
Also my Lenovo community menu is in German, how I can change it into English
Thank you.

English surely helps, my German is non existent.
Now if you can fix my battery recognition issue, it would be great.
I am running XP on it, but I have another HD (SSD) with W7, so I will switch the HD and I will try if I can duplicate the problem with W7 64 as well.

It seems I was wrong, the T61p recognizes the other battery just fine, the only problem is that the supposedly 1 year old new batery is in fact also 4 years old as my original battery, so this is the whole problem, as I never checked the info from my original battery. My bad (smile) - live and learn.
