Is there an SSD drive that will work well in my T43p Thinkpad?

I have a T43 with a KingSpec 128 Gb IDE SSD-harddisk. It runs very well with Win 7, have the normal alarm at startup, but it stops for just a few sec and continue automatic (option i Bios). I can live with that. Brought it on EBay for US $ 299 in january 2010 and install it without any problem.

yes you can but you probably have to install it where the DVD/CD dirver was because T43 usually fave a PATA port as its main port for hard disk.

I have had good results using a Kingston V Series SSD in one of my T-43s. When I first used it, I didn't know enough to be afraid and it went in and connected just like a normal PATA drive. I have the smaller, 64 GB Series V and I guess the larger ones will also connect like a PATA drive. I would research the Kingston website for their SSD V Series and see what they have to say. Good luck with it. I am very happy with my super fast SSD.
