Thinkpad T60 Max memory

Hello,
I have Thinkpad T60 2007 and Windows 7 32 bit operating system installed.
Does my computer only support max 3 GB RAM?
If I install 4 GB RAM into my Thinkpad, would it be recognized by OS and if not does it mean my computer uses only 3 GB of it?

Thank you

Re: Thinkpad T60 Max memory

max is 3 gigs of ram. You can install 4 gigs, but only 3 gigs will be used.

But why is that so? Does the motherboard have somekind of built-in limit for RAM?
As long as i know, most laptops support 4 GB of RAM with x86 OS. :smileyhappy:

Re: Thinkpad T60 Max memory
