The Thinkvantage Productivity Center software on my T61 model 7658 CTO starts and then locks up. So I cannot control the wireless.
This all started after I updated the Lenovo software. It was caused by a Lenovo update.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
If it cannot be fixed is their a way to disable it and return control of the wireless connections to Windows XP?
Thanks for your help.

Hi pikax,
Do you know what update is causing the problem? You can rollback to a previous driver in Device Manager for each specific device. Double-click on the device and there will be an option under the Driver tab.
Let me know if that helps.

This did not work, but thanks for trying.
I also gave Windows XP control over wireless. It says it's connected but it still cannot access the internet.
And Thinkvantage Access Connections still will not run.
Way to go Lenovo! You messed-up my PC.

Can you try updating ThinkVantage Access Connections and ThinkVantage System Update?

Additional you can try the following (if Ron_9972 is finished with his steps):
Deactivate anti virus program (select "activate manual", if possible)
Start - Programs - Accessory -System programs - Systemrecovery (i hope it is right translated from german)
Select "restore a restorepoint" and select the last date, where it worked.

Thank you all. I got it working by doing these two things:
1. Having Windows XP control the WiFi connection.
2. Removing the last four Windows security updates, using Windows XP Update Remover.
I WAS using the latest Lenovo updates. Maybe in a few months I will try them again, after they are fixed.
