Hi everyone,
I Have Lenovo T61 and I would like to increase its RAM to 8GB.
Is that possible ? And Does the machine support the DD3 RAM??
Also, Does the 2GB RAM that already installed In the device placed in one slot or divided on the both slots??

It does not support DDR3, only DDR2, 667mhz or faster will work. If you install faster ram the system will slow it down to this speed, if you install slower ram the system will try to run it at 667mhz and could become unstable. I've seen it done before, but it's not recommended.
In most cases your system would have shipped with 2 chips, one gb each, but it's possible to have one 2gb module. Your most cost effective combination is 2x2gb (4gb) which you can buy for about $40 (usd). If you want 8gb you'll need 2x4gb and the price has recently doubled from about $80 to over $150. I suspect memory manufactures have noticed this and are retooling to make DDR2 ram at the moment, so it would probably be a good idea to wait if you're on a budget, but no one knows where prices will be next month.
