Warranty not registered by retailer

Hello,

I have seven T61s I purchased from CDW with 3 year EasyServ extended service agreements. One of the laptops died and won't power on or charge, even with a known good ac and battery.

Unfortunately when I call I am told my warranty has expired. When I check the warranty lookup it shows as only being a year warranty.

I'm looking for our receipt now, but wanted to find out the correct path to resolve this.

I believe the best path is to find the receipt. Hopefully you'll find it and it lists the model and serial numbers of the systems. That should go a long way in making your case with Lenovo.

Re: Warranty not registered by retailer

No doubt I have to find my receipt. The question is, is there a specific number to call or person to contact. When I call, do I ask for a warranty department, etc.

Re: Warranty not registered by retailer

I also purchased two T61P RF7 DVU laptops with three year wararnty's - however for some reason they were downgraded to a one year warranty!

When I sent the receipt to ThinkPlus Support [thinkpls_us@lenovo.com] - they told me that I purcashed refurbished units whicj ony come with one year warranty.

Whe I showed them that i had been sold a three year warranty- they siad that the sales person made  a mistake.  When I contacted the salesperson, they said that they did in fact sell a 3 year warranty wiht eht T61Ps, but Lenovo had dreduced the warranty and so I should take it up with them!

Thesadays, it seems that Lenovo and the agent like to play pass the buck - IBM wasn't like this!  I ended up extending the warranty and paying ~$100 myself!
