RE: WARRANTY ON IBM THINKPAD 2373JXU
Greetings,
In spite of the email message below dated September 28, 2007,
in spite of my numerous phone calls to 1-800-426-7378 and other numbers,
in spite of sending four faxes with proof of purchase to 1-800-373-4920
In spite of having opened several cases for this matter, the latest being CASE# 40-L9HKR,
The warranty on my Thinkpad is nowhere to be seen in IBM/Lenovo data base in Canada.
This means that although my Thinkpad is insured, I would not be able to have it serviced if it needed to be.
How can we solve this problem?
Daniel Hector

Subject: RE: Confirmation of registration?
Hello,
The warranty has actually been registered as per my last 2 emails. Compugen did register it promptly; the problem is actually with IBM, not Compugen. The warranty does not reflect on their website due to an error? The below is all you should need, please see details and be advised it was in fact registered with a start date of September 19, 2007 and you do currently have coverage. Also be aware of the email below from IBM (Lynette) stating the Authorization number and the end date of warranty coverage. Please feel free to email me directly or call me directly for further assistance.
This machine, 2373 99H93VM, is registered under ServicePac authorization #2011170317 with an expiry date of: 09/18/2009.
Thank you
Lynette

My post here did not get any reply. Fortunately, I tried two other different routes and one of them resolved the problem.
