What Gives! T60 Lenovo

i boot up this t60 lenovo and either i can't type or my mouse doesn't work... have to either re-boot - take battery out several times... it's a real pain! HELP!

does this problem also occur in the safe mode? did you have any liquid spill on the laptop? 

 

Can you boot into the Rescue and Recovery console by pressing the blue thinkvantage button during startup.. startup your opera browser in that, does the mouse and keyboard work normally in that?
