When docking T60, Office 2007 degrades

When the T is docked, Office 2007 looks like a 16 bit version of Office, 16 color palette, primitive icons and generally an ugly interface.  When I undock the system, it reverts to a Vista-like interface and appears normal.  No other applications seem to have this issue. 
 
This started a couple of weeks ago and I have not found what I did to make this happen or how to revert to normal without a complete reinstall.  I have updated all of the usual; thinkpad components, BIOS, video drivers et.al.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
