Win7x64 T61p Device Manager

I've done a fresh install of Win7 Pro x64 on my T61p.

Shown below is my Device Manager screen.

Any ideas as to what the two 'Base System Device's are?

Also, here is a link to software drivers I have installed:

Re: Win7x64 T61p Device Manager

Double click the Base Device icon in DM and you should see something in "Information". It might be part of the Intel chipset (install Intel Matrix drier) or the TPM chip. You might also try expanding System Deices in DM and then go to View (DM) and select Show Hidden devices

Do you have any card readers on this machine?  I just did a clean install of Win7 64 and it showed 3 of the Base System Device.  It was for my 4-1 card reader.  Downloaded from Lenovo's site the newest drivers for Win7 64bit and that was it.  Used to be called the 4-1 Card Reader but now it's Ricoh Multi-Card reader.

Check under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers in Device Manager to see if you currently have the card readers (Memory stick, SD, MMC, etc) in there.

Another one I got was for my Wireless USB device.

Hope this helps,

Robert
