Wireless Internet Not working

I recently purchased a T61P back in Feb and so far the computer has been working great.  I just got back from a vacation and when I went to log on to the internet I found that I can not connect to the internet with my wireless modem.  The computer doesn't find any wireless networks to connect to even though I know the wireless in the house is working (my Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii both connect to the internet through wireless and both work and are 10 feet from the laptop).  When I go to configure the card it says the wireless is turned off, even when I turn it on I still have no luck.  So far the only thing I have found is the following information on intels site:

I don't have the laptop with me but I would like to know if anyone knows if Lenovo puts a switch on their laptops similar to what is discussed in the above site.  I am going to call support once I get home but since I have no way of connecting to the internet I will not be able to d/l anything.  This was working when I left for vacation on the 23rd.  If anyone can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wireless Internet Not working

There's a hardware wireless switch on the front left edge of the laptop on the 15.4" display model T61p.  I don't know about any other models.
