Wireless adapter not found T61 Vista

My wireless capabilities have been working fine until this evening.  After starting the computer and trying to connect to a wireless network it tells me I don't have a wireless adapter.  I looked in the device manager and it doesn't appear there either.

Is all hope lost?  Thank you for any help that can be offered.

Try to performed system restore bro and check if this thing will resolve your issue.

I did perform a  system restore and that did not resolve the issue.
