Hi,
I bought an old IBM ThinkPad T40 and everything works well besides the sound. The little warning sounds related to a problem can be heard but when I want to listen to cds, videos or to use a microphone to skype sound can't be heard. (I checked both volumes of course) I thought that it must be something regarding the sounddriver but after having downloaded a sounddriver from the Lenovo-page the problem is still there. Does anybody have an idea?
best,
complicated

complicated, welcome to the forum,
you don't mention which OS you have installed and is it a factory or manual install?
Are you running the "setup.exe" from c:\drivers\wi\audio? Just downloading the driver isn't enough?
What is selected in Control Panel as audio output device?
Sorry for all the questions, but they might help members to help you.
Andy
