sup with the warranty checking

I have a thinkpad T61p bought in 2008 which is supposed to have a 4 year warranty. Last i checked (a coupe of months ago) it was all ok

 

anyways, today i go to the regular link: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=LOOK-WARNTY#sw

 

and enter my CORRECT S/N or type (i tried both seperately and together- and yes i checked them- they're correct)

Type is 8891-CTO so i just enter 8891 = Information for Warranty was not found. Please click back and try again or you may navigate clicking on 'Warranty'.

 

Same error if i enter my S/N which is *

 

so what now?

Hi gauramohana!

 

I just checked the page you are looking up using type 8891 and the serial number you gave, and came up with a warranty expiration of 2012-02-10. Perhaps the lookup mechanism was down temporarily? Try again?

thanks.... i just figured out that i have to put both type and s/n.. i was just puttin one or the other
