Re: not able to restore to factory settings

Exodus,

Well, I tried to run the Secure Data Disposal tool on my ThinkCentre S50 but it failed with the message "Requires .NET Version 1.1 or higher." I tell you, there's always something missing. Too many dependencies on other software.

The solution it seems, is access to the image (apparently sdd.iso) packed within the windows executable, sdd_setup.exe

It seems like a major oversight, barring copyright/license issues, that Lenovo apparently does not make this file available as a separate download.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, not all of us have access to a functioning windows 2000/xp machine or as howagood's situation demonstrates, a compatible machine.

So Lenovo, have I overlooked that file and if not, could you make it available?
