E520 - No audio device installed for microphone / recording

Question

When trying to use the mic, I am getting an error "No audio devices are installed". When checked at the recording tab, am getting the same error.

I tried reinstalling the audio drivers and even try using Windows generic drivers however problem still persist.

Answer

1. Boot into BIOS
2. Ensure that Microphone is enabled
3. Press F10 to save and exit
4. Boot into Windows then shutdown the laptop
5. Boot it back up and test the microphone

Roll back the driver for Conexant audio

It works only with the older version.
