Dear lenovo community...
The screen of my ThinkPad Edge E520 behaves quites awkward. I could not find any related topics... was also hard to search for it.
What it does is, when returning from screensaver or hibernate, the screen appears soft and without contrast.
I hope, to the extend I can appreciate lenovo's offered drivers for my Win7 Ultimate x64, I have the up-to-date drivers.
Is this issue something I have to accept? The issue did not exist when I bought the ThinkPad 2 months ago.
I have attached two (not really awesome) pictures that might show you what I am talking about.
I hope someone can help me, or at least tell me that this is meant to be.
Regards,
Cga

I would like to inform you the issue could be because of Display driver. Kindly make sure that the display driver version should be 8.15.10.2509. If not then you can update the Display driver from the below mentioned web link. http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.p
After installing the Display driver, please check the issue. If the issue remain same then kindly download and update the BIOS from the below mentioned web link.

Thank you for your answer. I have tried to install the Intel HD Grafics Driver. However when installing I recieve the error message that "one or more components can not be registered". I am not quite sure if this means I am screwed.... I hope it does not.
The flashing of the BIOS might have helped. I will see if I encounter the issue again.

Try disabling VariBright in the Catalyst Control Center.
I don't think that will be possible. I do not have a Radion grafics card and therefore no Catalyst Control Center.
