Best way to transfer/reinstall the OS to a new SSD disk. on a Lenovo Edge 13?

Hi,

The new disk (SSD) is smaller in size 128 GB instead of 250 GB. (Only using about 80GB)

How can I transfer the current installation to the new disk?

How can I make a new installation (factory settings) ot the OS on the new SSD disk?

What options do I have?

Hello Uno and welcome to community,

To have Operating System on SSD is good as the performance is better.

If you have the rescue and recovery disc available then install SSD and boot the laptop with the rescue and recovery disc and select SSD while installing Operating System

Choose factory default and you will get in a same position as when you got the laptop.
