Hi, i own a thinkpad e325 with a e350 apu and have to reset the uefi settings but it is somehow locked.
I can't add a boot entry with efibootmgr. dmesg shows:
efivars: set_variable() failed: status=8000000000000009
I also can't change most settings with the UEFI settings menu.
Is it possible to reset the UEFI by updating it? Is updating possible without going to legacy boot mode?
Or do I simply have to take out the battery for some days and wait?
There is a topic about another device here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Lapt
but I'm not sure if the things there are the same for my notebook (e.g. the location of the CMOS battery).
I hope someone here knows the answer since I want to switch from the original HDD to a new SSD and there for need to change the boot entry.

I removed the backup battery, number 16 described here:http://support.lenovo.com/de_DE/product-and-parts/
I inserted battery 15 minutes later, booted up and the settings were still at their old values and I'm still unable to change them.
Any other ideas? Are there other batterys I have to remove or something?
