Problem I'm having is that I can still control the brightness via the F7 and F8 buttons, but I no longer get the display interface on the screen. Annoying because it's harder to quickly set it at a specific number. (Happening with volume too.)
That's a totally different issue

Also do you know if there will be updated Lenovo drivers that have the newest AMD video drivers included instead of the old drivers that are included with the current Lenovo drivers?

Another case of this problem I have.
Sometimes after waking from hibernation, when I have "select the graphics processor based on application needs" set in catalyst drivers (this is because the cooling system works fine on this setting) brightness buttons do not work as well. I repeat - after hibernation. To solve this I have to reboot. Generally his issue last from november, so that is THREE MONTHS and still there is no solution at all !
