Hello.
I recently purchased a Lenovo E520 ThinkPad Edge with i5 processor and 4gbs of RAM. I purchased and installed an additional 4gbs of RAM. I am having two critical problems with this computer, which was represented as "refurbished" by Lenovo, though the appearance of the case, etc. seemed brand new:
1) the computer goes into some state where it will not wake up, nor will it start. I have worked through this situation by letting it run for several minutes. Subsequently, by moving the screen I can get the "ThinkPad" screen to come up. The computer then boots, but with Windows error messages.
2) the trackpad mouse is useless. It occasionally works, but then laps to a frozen state. I have remedied this by attaching a usb mouse, which, though inconvenient works.
I have tried several times to update the bios on this computer without any positive results. I purchased this computer approximately 2 weeks ago.
Any thoughts on how to fix these points?
