E525 mSATA support ?

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a ThinkPad Edge E525. The E520 has a second MiniPCI Express slot can have either a WWAN card or mSATA SSD installed in it. Does the E525 have a second slot, and if it has, does it support the installation of a mSATA SSD.

the E525 does have an express slot.

Can anybody confirm that the E525 supports msata? I have this Thinkpad and would also like to add a drive but afaik the technology is Intel based and this laptop is AMD.

Hello jasco,

It appears that from our PSREF sheets that the E525 does not supports an mSATA. The WWAN slot on your computer does not have the mini PCI-E connector. Therefore does not support the mSATA.

If you click this link and follow it down to the E525 you can see there is no option for an mSATA.
