E530 - i7-3612QM - Vt-d support ?

Hi,

the thinkpad E530 could be shipped with a core i7-3612QM. This processor exist in two version, one with the support of Vt-d and one without it.

Do you know if E530 with the core i7 is ok for Vt-d ?

Hi,

VT-d support depends on the main motherboard chipset first.

The Intel HM77 chipset built into the Edge 530 with i7-3612QM has no VT-d support.

So even if this i7 processor supports it the MB does not.
