I thought it would be nice to have a thread just for the E325 so that users can share experiences.
Please feel free to ask questions and post tips and trix.
Info on the chipset: http://www.nordichardware.se/images/labswedish/nyh
Win 7 programs I find useful:
HWinfo64 - shows temperature and other info. Download @ http://www.hwinfo.com/download64.html
I have three questions:
1: I would like to know more about powermanagement, or about how to set the fan speed. The thing is that right now the fan seems to be at 0 RPM up until the APU reaches 59C degrees, then it spinns up to what seems to be 830 RPM until the temp drops. This then repeats. I would like so set the temp limits and fan speed my self, is there a program for this or will it maby turn up in a bios update?
2: It seems I have UEFI bios activated but the bios screen looks like a "classic" bios, not like the flashy UEFI GUIs I have seen on Asus motherboards for example. Can someone explain the differens?
3: Does the E325 use SATA2 (3Gb/s) or SATA3 (6Gb/s)? That is to say, will it utalize the full speed of a SATA3 SSD drive?
Well met!

The harddrive seems to be of a special kind, its thinner and have a different SATA connector than an ordinary drive. I installed a Corsair F40 SSD by taking of the case of it but that did result in a no-boot. Still works fine with the old harddrive though.

Notice the difference of the SATA connectors.

Nice open space and easy to work with.
I would like to know why Lenovo choose that kind of harddrive instead of a regular SATA 2.5" drive. This makes upgrades much more difficult.
EDIT: After contact with Lenovos phone support I got the recommendation of using Intels 320 Series SSD wich is 7mm high. I will try this.

Found BrazosTweaker on Win is an ultimate Tool, also TPfancontrol. Both together make is cooler and less noisier.
Check it out !
Did you have a Win7 preinstalled Version running or did you installed Win on a FreeDos version?

Hey there!
Did any of you manage to make the fan run in a more 'sophisticated' manner? that is, not only having two states.
