Edge 11 and Function keys needing Fn pressed to access - whether can be changed

I have just purchased the Edge 11 and none of the descriptions/reviews indicated that the way of accessing the function keys has changed. On the X100e to use F1 I just press F1 key without any modifier. Now I have to press and hold the Fn key first. Since I use the function keys extensively this is a major issue for me.

Is there a way to reverse this change and go back to the old way?

Help with this would be greatly appreciated.
