Dear all,
I'm planning to install mSATA SSD on my ThinkPad E420 soon. My laptop comes with the recovery partition in its harddisk. How to install Windows on the SSD?
I'm familiar with installing WIndows from optical medium, but never from recovery partition (which I assume where the Windows installer is).
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Haris

Hi,
Sorry, I have no idea on how to directly install from one separate drive to another, but you may want to check this out. You will need 1 CD (boot) and some 4.7 GB DVDs (data) because Lenovo recovery adds all the bloatware present in factory settings.
That said, if you wish a clean install, use Windows disc (in case you don't have the same edition, you can download it legally from the net, google it) and your OEM key for activation.
