My AMD Edge 13 comes with 42T4814 battery (I think it's 6-cell). Lenovo.com sells a replacement battery 57Y4565 (73+) which is also 6-cell:
Since it has a different model number I wonder what the performance is like compared to the one shipped with the notebook?
Or is there any other battery (9-cell?) which I could buy to extend the battery life of Edge 13?
The battery life sucks. This is the last time I would buy AMD-based laptops... (not to mention the extremely-annoying noise issue whenever you plug a headphone into Edge 13!)

The part number you see on the original battery may not match the replacement. You need to use the FRU number which is the number used for replacement parts (the original parts will have a part number and then may indicate the FRU used to rpelace it). For this battery the FRU is either 57Y4564 or 57Y4565, the part number on the replacement may differ, but the FRU will stay the same.

Thanks.
So to conclude, there is NO extended-life battery for Edge 13 that would be better than the one shipped with the laptop. ![]()
