Lenovo Edge E13 (0197-6GG) SSD problem

hy,

i have this wierd error. I just installed new SSD in HDD bay. installed windows and stuff works great. Now after 2 days i experienced this strange error at start. Long loading, than saying "no operating system found". After restart everything works great again. This error happens only if laptop is in sleep mode or shut down for a longer time (+1hour). If you only reboot or shut down for smaller period of time it boots up in no-time.

the problem is i this drivers. If i delete them and install general drivers provided with windows (standard ahci 1.0 serial ata controller) all works fine.

Now plz tell me where to get proper AMD AHCI drivers for Lenovo Edge E13 (0197-6GG)

Above drivers does not work for my new SSD. After being shut down for longer time,

i get "operating system not found" message. Otherwise it works perfectly, except for that error.

hello guys, anyone here

this issue is making me mad. I have reinstalled windows with preconfigured sata drivers...still same error.

what am i missing here? i found out that even if i shut down for a brief time i might get that "operating system.." message.

It is just so random error that i cannot isolate it...any help would be appriciated. thanks

I found an updated AHCI driver on the support site, and although it doesn't show the exact model you have, it is the most recent version of the AHCI driver you have. Check it out: AMD AHCI Controller Device Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad Edge E135 and X131e

It still may not work but you can always uninstall it if that is the case.

this driver is 1.2.1.321, i even found 1.2.1.331 .. have it installed and still have occasional erorr. had reformat for the 3rd time, installed all drivers.... i just think there are some compatibility issues or i will RMA disk.

i tried my Intel SSD 330 in my friend's old Edge 13 for you and it doesn't seem to have any issues.

Maybe you should try to swap the Intel SSD 330 for another one?

do you know what drivers he have? it is crucial to this matter..it doesent work nicely with amd ahci drivers, yet faster, but it does work with MS standard ahci drivers, yet slower..
