I installed a new hard drive after my old hard drive failed. When I insert my boot disk, the "Windows is loading files" screen comes up, followed by the "Starting Windows" screen. Then the Lenovo Thinkvantage product recovery screen comes up. screen comes up. When I get to the screen that prompts me to "insert the Product Recovery Disc 1 into drive D:" I click "yes."
I then get a prompt that says, "The DVD you are using is not the correct DVD. Insert the correct one." This is the only boot disc I have. I reinstalled from this disc several months ago with no problem.
Does the problem lie with the fact that I now have a new hard drive? Do I need to call Lenovo for a new backup disc?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Kindly start the system with disc 1 then it should load Operating System.
If the issue continues then notebook BIOS has to be updated after that recovery disc can be used again.
You need to contact the support center to know the detail for obtaining the new set of recovery disc.

When I created my backup disc, I was only prompted to create one disc, not two. Thank you for your response. I'll try contacting support.

Yes, you may contact the support center as you will get the solution to get the recovery disc.
Once you get the recovery disc you can install the Operating System on your new hard drive.

Hello,
Quite interestingly, I have *esactly* the same problem. I was guided to burn 3 dvds in total, out of which two "media disks".
I called Lenovo today, they tell me that my system is out of warranty (true) and there is nothing they can do for me.
I do feel that I have the right to my recovery disks. What is the solution?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
