Should I buy a THINKPAD?

My last laptop was a Dell Inspiron.  Its time to upgrade. 

 

I checked out a 14" ThinkPad Edge yesterday at a local store.  I liked the keyboard.  OK, its time to decide.  I ideally want a 15" laptop with Windows 7 32 bit and 4 GB of RAM but I am flexible with regard to the OS?   Budget is not an issue but I want a reliable laptop and I don't want to buy trouble.   

 

Should I go ahead and buy ThinkPad Edge or any other ThinkPad? 

Which is the most reliable ThinkPad? I read folks complaining about ThinkPad Edge on this forum. 

 

Any other suggestions or ideas recommendations?
