XP driver needed for Ati Radeon HD 4250 (Thinkpad Edge 14 - Model 019923u )

Hello, I downgraded from Windows 7 to Xp and I have difficulties finding the driver for the video card.

The laptop is Thinkpad Edge 14 - Model 019923u.

Does anybody know the right driver for this model ?

Thank you for the fast answer. I have tried tinkvantage system update, but no success. It still did not recognize the missing driver from the video card.

Maybe is helpful, but the XP system is 32-bit.

Looks like Lenovo has a customized version of ATI GPU in the notebook,I checked with AMD and it has been redirecting me to lenovo support, will post back as soon i find something about this

you know, I have seen that model advertised with the 4250 in many places on the net. But when you put the # in on the lenovo site they all show a 3200.

your # shows the 3200 so try this driver for xp.

Does not work again. Is saying that the driver is not compatible with the hardware.

try DRIVERMAX. I had a PC that did not have XP drivers. That program found and installed drivers in XP and got it working. What it does is find a driver for that type of board/CPU/GPU/USB/webcam or sound card.

Here are the directions off of my head the best that I can remember:

• 1 when you first load it (after it indexes and askes you to register), put the mouse on driver downloads and info, click on start the drivermax agent.
• 2 when the agent loads make sure its on the 2nd tab available updates. If the (part your wanting to install) shows there then select it then click download. Click the 2nd option display updates for the selected updates only.
• 3 now it will go to the website and show you the available driver/s. I always choose the top driver listed. Click the download link beside it. Click continue free user. Make sure you have it open with drivermax and not save it to the pc.
• 4 It will then download it and let you know when it is ready to be installed. Another thing if the driver (for what your needing) is not showing there then click on the identify unknown hardware below start the agent at the main drivermax screen. Then do the same to download and install it.

You are amaizing. It worked. I love my "new" laptop now.

The driver's name is: "AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200, version 8.730.0.0"
